Using a combination of the finest, characterful hops we could find, Hawkstone IPA is a treat for the senses. With bursts of tropical and citrus, and richness from the malt, it's perfectly balanced with the hop bitterness that runs through

Keg at the Hawkstone taproom between Stow on The Wold and Bourton, 23/11/24. Clear golden topped with a lasting white head. Nose is mellow citric flesh, orange peel, melon, soft malts. Taste comprises grass, melon, lemon rind, tangerine, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dabbed with modest hop bitterness. Passable entry level kind of IPA.

Keg, half-pint in Cromwells Taphouse, Shrewsbury on 24th May 2024. It was their Cider and Sausage Fest, but I had this as a palate cleanser before trying the ciders. Clean golden body, white crown. Decent enough blend with a slight citrus leaning and some sweetness creeping in from the malt content.

Very near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate, very mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. The malts are smooth and airy and have a distinct caramel streak. This would normally piss me off in an IPA but it works a treat here. The hops are nicely juicy, soft pine into a juicy rounded orange and mandarin citrus. Airy piney finish. Yeah, this is a decent beer, very drinkable. Never an IPA but whatever. Could defo session this.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie en Keukeman. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige hoppige geur. De smaak is fruitig, zacht zoet en hoppig.

Bottle from local garden centre that has now got a few beers on (I.e. these and Hogs Back), having had none for a while. Now 4.8%. Aroma is woody, with malts and some citrus. Clear copper gold. Thin foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Resinous. Earthy. Citrus edge. Sherbert. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Better than I was expecting. Bitter and sessionable.

Keg half @ Diddley Squat Farm Shop. Something to do with Jeremy Clarkson apparently, I don't really know. Generally clear gold, small white head. Nicely hoppy, fresh with orange oil, citrus and mild resin coming through. Decent.
