Black beer, thick tan head. Big tonka aroma with malty coffee, as advertised. Flavour has big tonka, coffee, sweet malt, a little chocolate. A few flavours but big and punchy and rich and tasty.

Can from Vocation & Co, Hebden Bridge. Dark brown with a small head. Chocolate, coffee, with a strength attached but secondary to flavour. Lots of aroma.

Can. Black body with a thick tan head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla and nuts. Flavour of coffee, caramel, espresso martini and milk chocolate. Medium to full body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A beautifully balanced and luxurious beer.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from a local supermarket, think it was Tesco. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, nice chocolatey notes, mellow roast, vanilla, toasted marshmallows, some earth, mellow ashy bitterness, toasted brown bread. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Sweet finish with further rounded baking cocoa, more gooey marshmallow, earthy hops. Solid all around. Nicely drinkable for a pastry.

440ml can from Tesco, I believe. Pours pitch black, off-white head that recedes. Big Tonka aroma, and generally dominates the whole thing, overshadowing any coffee elements, some cocoa shades, but really it's all about the tonka. Full, smooth, almost creamy textures on the palate. Decent.

Aroma is sweet, creamy tonka bean, chocolate beans, spicy cinnamon bun, toasted brown sugars, blackened sugars. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, sugary, cinnamon bun, tonka beans, dark cocoa beans, stroppfwaffel. Palate is medium sweet, oily, moderate carbonation, Loively tonka action..
