The Double Fudge, sit back and enjoy this. This enormously thick eisbock has the base of our famous Caramel Fudge Stout. By Eisbocking this great beer we managed to create a completely new beer with an even fuller taste of caramel and chocolate.

Bottle at home, shared by Joen. Opaque black color medium sized brown colored head. Aroma is chocolate and (Dutch) "hopjesvla". Hmm not very promising tbh. Flavor is... thank got, not awful. Malts, sweetness, caramel, fudge, vanilla. Thick syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Heavy but good and the 20% is definitely well hidden so a dangerous beer!

0.75 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', best before December 2028. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of dark chocolate, lots of caramel, vanilla, hazelnut and coffee. Very sweet, malty, rather roasty taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, caramel, vanilla and roasted hazelnut, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, just slightly boozy finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Very delicious brew, unbelievably quaffable for such a high abv, simply CFS goodness. Great!

Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 25/01/25.
Black topped with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is chocolate, toffee fudge, dark malts, booze tunes, light spice, dried fruit esters.
Taste comprises chocolate melt, lightly singed toffee, coffee, spice, roasted tones, dates, fruit cake.
Full bodied and a touch, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol.
Sips super easy for the stated boost.

Pretty much an opaque dark brown beer, a slight oily appearance. Some pretense of a bubbly tan head. Really doesn't last or look vaguely joined up but hey, it's a 20.0% beer, watchagonnado? Smooth and slightly viscous palate, much lightened by good fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Unexpected! Well this tastes much like the base beer! Smooth dark chocolate malts, good caramel fudge. I think it's a deal less sweet than the base beer and maybe the huge abv is biting that back a bit. All that said, there is no alcohol heat here and only a touch of alcohol spice. Honestly, a blind taste, I would have placed thos around 10 - 12%! Light finish. Weird! The upside of this brew is that is stupidly easy drinking. The downside, possibly, is that it tastes much like this base beer, only a bit of sweetness is lost. Quite unique in my experience. I've seen plenty of beers upgraded in terms of ice bocking and what not. I have definitely never experienced a brew like this where a near doubling of the abv has had so little effect on both taste and drinkability! Beer! Still teaching me lessons even now! What a wonderful art form!

Black beer, thin filmy head. Smells of, well, fudge. And chocolate. Flavour has caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, boozy warmth. Ri h, smooth and sweet, maybe little more alcohol than would be ideal but that's gonna happen at this strength. Rich, smooth, boozy but tasty.

On tap at Borefts 2024. Remarkably like the caramel fudge impy stout but more intense and a little alcohol burn. Quute sweet strong but considering it's pretty easy drinking. 4/5
