Samen planten we 14.000 bomen

This true masterpiece is brewed in deep secrecy by La Trappe, Tynt Meadow, and Zundert. It offers a refined tasting experience with a rich, well-balanced bittersweet profile. The aromas of sweet caramel, roasted malt, and delicate hints of peat are perfectly complemented by spicy and hoppy undertones. The full-bodied, bittersweet flavour with hints of roasted malt creates a unique and indulgent experience.
This Dubbel pays tribute to the three fundamental rules of authentic Trappist brewing, the foundation and cornerstone of this exceptional beer. A true pleasure for any beer enthusiast!

Very good, fluffy & irregular cream head, stable, over deep garnet to red-brown beer. Cardboard, plywood, dark malts, bit spicy. Liqueurish taste, with wood and hints of sherry. Malts, melanoidins. Quite well-bodied, some faint alcoholwarming, good carbonation, almost chewy. Strange choice of style. Taste is OK, but one would be excused to expect better from such a Holy Collab. Txs to Stef!

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has dark and dried fruitness, but it's fresh, prune, apricot, light balancing and dry herbs and earthyness, also aromatic flowers. Taste has prune, light earthyness, still quite fresh. Medium bodied, pretty high carbonation. There are some sophisticated nuancees. Very nice. .

750ml bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear mahogany brown with a decent khaki head. The aroma is rich and fruity, roasty malts, toasted brown bread, touch of coffee, raisin, sultana, candy sugars, toasted brown sugar, glace cherry, fig rolls, plum pudding, splash of doctor pepper, rich Christmas cake vibes, festive spice and gingerbread. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, toasty malt, brown bread, toothy, pie crust, toasted fruit cake, ginger, nutmeg, nutty, bitter - sweet character, pleasing touch of alcohol warmth, raisin, sultana, fig, prune, glace cherry and gingersnaps with a toasty spiced finale. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Robust with a lovely depth of flavour. Very nice dubbel.

Bottle @ home. Rather clear, dark brown body under a big, foamy beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, Belgium yeast and a bit herbal. Taste in the same direction, mostly malty with caramel and typical Belgium yeast, spices and sweetness. Fine balanced body with a long lasting pleasant aftertaste. Rather typical Belgium dubbel/trappist with nothing outstanding really within the style, but it’s very nice and damned well made as it is.
