Aroma has sweet cocoa tones and bourbon. Also floury tones. Flavour has licorice, bourbon, vanilla and licorice root. Finishes with salty licorice. Too salty but otherwise ok.

Tap. Mikkeller, Berlin. Not far off black. Film and ring of dirty, grey tinged, beige head. Nose has blackcurrant liquorice sweets. Sweet red wine. Some dark, fruity chocolate. Some cigar leaf, not that I have any idea what that would smell like. Soft, savoury smoke. Taste is sweet and smoky, with a vinous, red wine twang. Silky mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Hint of acidity. Twang of red wine to finish.

Tasting glass draft @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Black, little head. Nose is thick black liquorice, red grape Port, mocha,… Massive roast, reminds me of a few Mikkeller stotus in that fashion, hugely bitter, roasted, lack liquorish roast, varnish, boozy, charcoal & red grape Port,… Thick syrup. Interesting, not fully my thing but nice.
