Julesjeik is a full-bodied New England Pale Ale, bursting with flavor and aroma from Krush and Citra hops. Our goal with this beer was to create a sessionable pale ale with the hop intensity and smooth mouthfeel of bigger India Pale Ales. God Jul!

02.01.2025, 0,44l can @ home:
Big foamy longlasting head, hazy orangy color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish floral, leafs, dusty hops, old rope, sour grass, oatmeal, citrus, alcohol, dried tropical fruits, metal tank, bark, vanilla. Taste is slightly harsh sour-ish floral, leafs, fruit stones, dusty hops, minerals, hay, citrus, light malts, dried fruits, old rope, alcohol, vanilla, bark, flowers. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish floral mouthfeel. Fair enough.

exotic fruity almost sulphuric aroma. flavor is very much excotic fruity with ripe papaya, ripe mangues, ripe pineapple, the bitterness is slightly weird, and it ends strangely exotic fruity sweetish. Not to my liking, almost like a mixed-fruit juice that has been kept for to many months.

7-3-5-2-12 Can, #771, four weeks after canning. Pours murky translucent yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is citrusy hops with orange peel, lime and tropical notes of mango and stone fruits, as well as sweet Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet notes of lactose, vanilla and tropical fruits, as well as oaty minerals. Dry finish. The nice, inviting start kind of crasches in a sweet and rather bewildering vanillin incident. Or maybe I'm just turning lactose beer intolerant?

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Opaque yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of citrus and tropical fruits. No surprises here - just another good beer from Salikatt, in a style they do well. --- Beer merged from original tick of Julesjeik 2024 on 16 Nov 2024 at 00:08 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5.
