The fruit follows through onto the palate, with the soft, biscuity malt base developing towards the finish. Rounded out with a gentle bitterness, The Golden Bitter is the perfect balance between traditional English brewing and contemporary hop development

Pours a clear golden. medium sized white, stable head. Scent is malty, white bread, 'thick' aroma, Mild on earthy hops. taste is malty, very fresh, medium bitterness, some earthy hops. Very drinkable. More intense than the classic bitter they make (especially compared to the nitro version). very agreeable and enjoyable.

Can at home picked up from the brewery venue in Bermondsey. A light hazed deep gold orange coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty bready malts, dried apple, white raisin, dusty grains. Flavour is composed of grainy, semi sweet malts, white grape, grain tannin, light rough round the edges. Palate is semi sweet, harsh grains, moderate carbonation, tannin. Little harsh.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 24 May 2022) Golden amber colour with tan head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, bread, apricots and marmalade. Malty taste with toast, apricots, orange peel, marmalade and a gentle citric bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Fresh and tasty bitter. Nice one.

Pint at the local pub. Almost orange pour with a large, lasting head. Aromas of grass, grains and nuts. Same for taste, not bad for a bitter.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2021 - Hackney. Pours clear, deep gold with a fluffy, white head. Lightly sweet with fresh, lightly toasted grains, some nutty notes, a little grassy bitterness, earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation; nicely conditioned. Balanced finish, refreshing bitterness, more nutty and lightly toasted grains. Good bitter.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 23rd July 2021. Coppery amber with yellowy white foam and full lacing. Nutty malt aroma. Deliciously nutty in-mouth - peanut and hazelnut. Malty finish. Velvet smooth mouthfeel and light to medium body. Superb and well crafted.
