Bottle shared at the CBJ BIG BOOSTY XMAS tasting, thanks to Juan the legend, 13/12/23. Black topped with a lasting khaki head. Nose is dark malts, chocolate shavings, charr, toffee, modest barrel tones. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee, spice, charr, roasted bite, dried fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars. Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced spike of booze. Tidy sipper.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Junction - cheers. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour with a lot of stewed dark fruits and old wood character. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming and sticky sweet to finish, lots of aged berries, figs, wood. Not bad.
