A classic bitter ale that, as Rob once said, is suitable for drinking at any time of the day. Not that we at all endorse a lunchtime beer, save it for special occasions, but you know what we mean - this beer is light and refreshing. At only 3.6% it's one of our lowest ABV beers in a bottle.
Starting with a simple malt bill of British grains we build on this with rather a lot of soft, delicate and low alpha hops from the UK, Poland and Germany for a layered and complex, yet still ever so refreshing, hoppy finish.
Like most of our beers the flavours build and build the further through the bottle(s) you get.
Malts: Maris Otter, Best Pale, Wheat
Hops: British, German, Polish

Cask @ Pivni, York. Clear golden with a creamy head. Crisp and clean, it has a lowish bitterness allowing some fruitiness through. Easy-drinking and just about sessionable. Has a more stated fruity nose.

On cask at Grove, Huddersfield - Straw yellow body, thin white head. Nose is grassy, bit of citrus, little bit of maltiness and caramac too. Taste is straw, more grass, bitter lemon. Medium bodied, a bit of a standard light bitter really.

lekki zapach, zioła i trochę jakby zielona butelka, lekko słodowy, może miód. dość ładna piana która całkiem długo się utrzymuje i ładnie oblepia szkło. kolor słomkowy, jasny, dość zmętniony, ale przejrzysty. w smaku dość wodniste i wytrawne, bardzo lekkie, dominuje ziołowa goryczka która sama w sobie nie jest wysoka. mocny, żelazisty posmak. piwo dobre, ale bardzo cienkie.

Cask @ Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, Holborn WC1. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy bitter finish.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 17th August 2014. Gold with thinning white foam and lacing. Grassy hop aroma with cheesy yeast and savoury notes. Rich, grassy hoppiness in-mouth with savoury/salt touches, rounded with solid malt. Malty finish with bitterness and grass developing. Zingy mouthfeel with plenty of body.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a white head that fades. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of hay, lemon and ready salted crisps. Flavour of light citrus, grass and pale malt. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Simple, subtle and tasty.
