Achtergronden: Kaapse Baubas is een collab met onze vrienden van brouwerij Walhalla uit Amsterdam en heeft een jaar lang gerijpt houten cognacvaten. Fluweelzachte smaken door het gebruik van haver en rogge die in mooi samenspel met de 'chocolademouten' bijeenkomen. Het gebruik van UK Phoenix hoppen van Brooke House Hops geven deze Baltic Porter de extra gelaagdheid in het bier.

Can at home, 26th April 25, from Sterk, Amsterdam. Pours black and thick. Aromas are complex, chocolate, caramel and wood, liquor and barrel, taste is rich, caramel, cake, chocolate, liquor, cognac is well incorporated

(Draft at Bierlokaal de Uiver, Haarlem, 20 Feb 2025) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, oak wood, liquorice and aromas of cognac. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, dark bread, cognac, oak wood and a balanced cacao bitterness in a warming, slightly boozy finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich and powerful, with a generous wood character. Very nice.

Op tap bij De Uiver. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Cognac, krenten, booze, ook iets whisky-achting, hout, heel licht gerookt, gebrande mout, caramel, chocolade, bitterzoete finish. Medium tot volle body. Lekker spul.

From tap at Bierlokaal De Uiver, Haarlem. Rich dark malt with cognac, syrupy notes, oak, red and dark fruits, some alcohol, chocolate. Strong flavour, booze, potent beer. Has plenty going on, strong!

Straight from can during a hike. Color: Dark brown, brown head. Aroma: Red fruit notes, coffee, roasted malt. Taste: Well blended .ix of red fruit notes, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, some raisins, boozy Cognac. A little sugary. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Slightly sourish. Nice winter warmer during cold weather.

Black with a thin beige head. Gognac aroma with roasted malts and dark caramel. Sweet taste with a long sweet boozy finish. A real treat.
