750ml bottle [Thanx David!]. Cloudy, deep golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy yeasty and bready, grainy malty aroma, a Marmite touch. Taste is grainy malty, moderately sweet, hints of treacle and pear (’Grafschafter Birnenschmaus’). Too sweet, not overly rich - meh.

Commissioned by a cheese shop in Ghent and named after the street where this shop is located (the Lousbergskaai). Intended to accompany certain cheeses. Thick creamy head over a warm orange blonde beer; aroma of orange, grapefruit, peach, mango, bread, caramel; fruity taste, lightly sweet in onset with spicy notes and supple caramel malty basis, dryer in the finish with floral hops but some plastic-like solvents as well. I bet this indeed goes well with some mature abbey cheese.

Bottle shared @ weekly tasting. Hazy yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, yeasty, a touch of sweetness, some vegetables. Average body, a bit fizzy carbonation. Meh.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Vooruit in Gent. BBF 27/08/2016. Clear golden orange with a creamy white head. Nose is very fruity, lots of sticky sweet fruits + hops mixed with lots of candy sugar, sweet flowers, sticky but not in an objectionable way. Taste is lots of sticky candy sugar, sweet white bread, orange peel, cinnamon, sticky candy sugar, dried citrus peel, fruity sugar, esters & warming in the finish. I can see the sweetness getting to much but this is a very interesting. Candy sugar body, sweetness makes this one a sipper but an interesting one.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 19-12-2015.

Hazy dark golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma of toffee, biscuit and bread, with a dusty note. Malty flavour with a somewhat bitter finish
