Bottle online from Stori, Bala. Pours black with beige to tan foam. Aroma: malty, toasted, cocoa, light liquorice, citrus, light tropical notes, grass. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter. Not bad, but as another correspondent notes it lacks any piney hop bite.

Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate sweet and moderate going to over moderate bitterness at the dry finish.

Near black with a tight, frothy tan head. Roasted malt, some chocolate and a hint of hops on the nose. Fizzy and smooth, with chocolate malt, mild coffee bitterness and a dry bittersweet finish

500ml bottle from Everyman's, Shrewsbury. Pours dark, off-white head. Nicely rich dark ale, liquoricey feel but doesn't come across like a black IPA necessarily, lacking that sharp hop pine bite one is accustomed to nowadays. Decent sipper.
