Chula Vista translates to ‘Cool View’ and is a town in California named for its beautiful location. In the early 1900s it was known as the ‘Lemon Capital of the World’ due to its fantastic climate for citrus growing. This seemed a perfect inspiration for our latest kettle sour, this time packed with luscious lemon and sea salt! Fantastically balanced with a tantalising zesty tang of fresh lemon, it is bright and invigorating, with a unique flavour profile which is sure to delight the senses and quench your thirst.

Can, medium bubbly head, cloudy palish orange with yellow streaks, lots of lemon , shrubiness, medium vibrant sourness, with some saltiness and a hint of shrubby bitterness. Amazingly refreshing.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the brewery online shop. Pours clear gold with a modest, foamy white head. Lightly sweet with lemony tartness, mellow acidity, soft salty bite. Light bodied with average carbonation. More citric-salty tang to finish, lightly drying. Nice overall.

Keg @ The Boot Micropub as part of our pre-Christmas tasting walkabout. Pours a misty golden yellow, thin white head. Aroma of lemon and pineapple, fresh, sour. Initial sweet burst on the palate, notes of Robinson's fruit juice, hints of pineapple, quite zesty with a light lick of sea salt rounding things off. Pretty good.

On tap at Euston Tap, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of lemon and salt indeed, with some lacto in back. Flavour is tangy and salty, with lots of lemon-lime soda, intense salt, and gentle tartness. Extremely light on the palate. Not seeing the point of this.

Bottle picked from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Sunday 15th October in the company of Craig and Stella. We've just been out for a short drive to our local Gasthof zum Sonnenwald and an old brewery (no longer brews) in Renting, listening to Deus - The Ideal Crash. Pours hazy dull silvery gold with a fast disappearing white head. Some zippy citrus, tart, tangy and with a nice sour edge. Refreshing beer, I like it though in truth would work better in the summer months.

440ml can from Thornbridge Beer Club - slightly foggy yellow body with a short white top. Nose is fresh lemon, a little bit herbal. Taste goes in like a gose, a bit salty, freshened up with the lemon zest. Classy effort is this.

Can. A light haze on this yellow gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and fairly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts provide a very modest amount of sweetness. Decent lemon, kinda Schwepsy homemade lemonade thang. Modest salinity. Light semi dry finish. Simple stuff but done well, pretty drinkalble.

Keg at GBBF'23, day two, 02/08/23. Almost clear golden blonde with white head. Nose is citric tinged straw, light herb, soapy notes, grains, lemon rind. Taste comprises grains, cereals, corn husk, lemon tinged straw, hedgerow, light salt kiss. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest puckering edge. So so.
