Cask-conditioned at Drink Valley, Swindon, December 2023. Near black in colour, with a slight, tan, head. An easy drinking stout, with touches of chocolate and roasted malts, some spiciness from the rye, leading to a slightly dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a thick lighter brown creamy head. Crisp stout with smooth developing roasted malts, and some coffee. Much more stated in aroma.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear '23, day two, 29/11/23. Black with a khaki cap that retains well. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, charr, dried fruits, burnt toffee. Taste comprises dark malts, cocoa powder, charr, touch of coconut, dried fruit rinds. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent flavoursome cask stout.

Cask at the pigs ear beer festival 2023. A opaque black brown coloured pour with a loose beige head Aroma is semi sweet, chestnut brown coloured pour, twig fruit and nut, chocolate. Twig. Flavour is composed of semi sweet. Oily, oily, twigs. Chocolate. Twiggy, nutty, dried raisin, woody roast. Oily, lovely.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Near opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Light and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts, floral dark chocolate. Some esters. A little fruit. Light and semi dry finish. Not bad.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2023, day - London. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy, tan head. Lightly sweet with sturdy toasted malt character, some tar, baking cocoa, ash, leather. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good cod toon. Drying close, further ashy roast, scorched earth. Solid.

Cask @ Salopian, the pub. Pours dark, tan head. Aroma of deep malt, rye sweetness, chocolate. Continues to taste, smooth palate, good chocolatey presence with nestled rye spice. Decent.
