Inky black pour, wishy oatmeal head @Manhattan Project. Toasty brown bread, neutral ash, coco soot. High acid roast, slight char, burnt flour, bit of black pepper, doesn't taste exactly like coconut. Whatever. Bit of a disappointment.

Keg at Euston Tap. It pours a rather handsome black with a thick, sturdy tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, deep coffee vibes, fudgey, light vanilla, coconut, toffee and gateaux. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, a certain creaminess to it from the carbonation, bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, nutty, toasted coconut (but only mellow), dark chocolate bounty bar, touch of charred oak and spice with a rich roasted finish. Fulsome body, moderate carbonation and soft, velvety carbonation. Super rounded and moreish. Nice one.

Keg @ Craft Beer Co, St Mary Axe. Pours dark with creamy beige head. Lovely smooth chocolatey character, mild creaminess with soft coconut shades. Not bad.

On tap at Manhattan Project, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out medium roast with a hint of coconut. Flavour is hearty, with gentle coconut and earthy roast. The addition of coconut is solid, but the whole thing kind of lacks clarity. It's solid but nothing special.

Keg at Red Hand - Dalston. Pours black-brown with a tight, creamy tan head. Light-medium sweet flavour with soft roast, some berries, raisins, minimal coconut per se, a little ash and cocoa. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with more restrained toasted malts, light bitter ash, dark chocolate, nips of earth. Solid overall, rather drinkable.
