Two years ago we selected a peculiar lot of Simcoe that wasn’t like all the rest - it stood out for being fruitier and richer. Last year, another lot stood out, and it came as no surprise it was from the same farm!
Discovering new farms, unusual lots, and exciting variations on familiar themes is only the start of a journey, that ultimately leads us to smiles on your faces. By upping the hopping rate in this popular beer, we’re hoping to make those smiles stretch even further.

Can shared thanks to kermis. Very hazy yellow with white head. Massive dank weedy hops, grassy, pineapple, oats, soft wheat, orange peel, soft marijuana, almonds. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Really my kind of thing.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Cloudy golden orange, good white froth. Fruity nose, perhaps fruitier than normal for Simcoe. In fact comes across like any other smooth gently pulpy, creamy smooth Cloudwater IPAs. Perhaps a sharper bitterness & less oat / wheat would see the hop shine more. Great drinkability though.

Can at home picked up from CW online. A translucent deep orange coloured pour with a lasting white frothy head. Aroma is nice cat pissy, woody lemon rind, dank dishcloth, little plastic. Flavour is composed of powdery wheat, pissy citrus, lemon rind, woody grassy hop, waxy citrus and plastic lingering. Palate is pithy, oily, highish carbonation. Good one.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Opaque deep orange gold. Trusty CW swede. Nose has melon and mango in spades. Citrus rind. A bit of weed and a bit of pine sap. Creamy malt backdrop. Smells great. Taste is nicely balanced sweet and fruity bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Moderate lingering bitterness to finish. Lovely stuff.
