Our house sour 'Zuur' is our most experimental recipe that changes with every batch. We mix different hops and fruits into the native puckering flavours to exhibit a wide variety of experiences to our drinkers. Zuur Gooseberry. Expect a mixed aroma of lemon sherbet and fresh fruit. The flavours hit immediately with an exquisite souring that scours the palate. Sharp lemon collides with the refreshing tones of the gooseberry. This marries into a clean, but very tart, intertwined cascade of intense pulp.

Can @ Patricks, Kristiansand. Hazy yellow gray body that looks a lot like squeezed lemon juice under a thin disappearing white head. Pretty weak in aroma, mostly reminds me of sour fruit candy. A bit too much yogurt and dough in flavor, some minerals and ripe fruit. Medium body and aftertaste in the same style. Not my cup of juice.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer Hawk. Pours mostly clear yellow with a thin, fizzy white head that fades out immediately. The nose holds lemon, wheat, acidic citrus. Light sweet flavour with modest acidity, more lemony notes, a little wheat bread, straw. Light bodied with spritzy, massaging carbonation. Fairly clean finish, more pale bread, some lemon, delicate acidic bite. Not bad overall.

01.03.2018, 0,33l can @ Patricks:
Big fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, berry skin, fruit salt, old lawn, soda powder, fruit stones, unripe berries, sulfur. Taste is dry sour-ish, berry skin, unripe berries, weeds, hay, soda powder, fruit salt, minerals, dried grain, old lawn, fruit stones, apple cores. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Just weird.

Cask at Craft Beer Co Brixton. It pours hazy straw yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is sweeter than expected, rather lactic, loads of cheesecake, straw and grain. The taste is dry, tart, lemony sourness, definite gooseberry, whitecurrant, lactic, cottage cheese, lime cheesecake and some graininess with a drying finish. Light body and soft carbonation. A bit too lactic and cheesecake character, which I am not a fan of at all. Gooseberry aspect is good though. Dissapointing.
