Think of this as our Lot #3 on performance enhancing malt and hops. At 8.5 ABV, this beer is loaded with tropical fruit and citrus notes. Deep gold in color, massive additions of American varietals of hops generate assertive bitterness and big hop flavor and aroma.

Rich deep hazy copper coloured body with a bright orange and peach coloured glow with a massive, four centimetre tall tan head - very nice. Aroma of resin, alcohol, pine, grapefruit, a lot of sugars and some noticeable malt. Full-bodied; Super rich flavour of grapefruit and resin up front - this is a pungent and potent beer. Aftertaste shows a great variety of hop flavours with floral notes spanning to pine and grapefruit and everything in between. All with a lot of malt behind for a great balance, but still a strong beer. Overall, a nice and deep imperial IPA that has a great flavour profile, is strong and pungent and served in a small format bottle. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 02-April-2013 for US$2.79 sampled at home in Washington on 08-May-2013.

Tons of crystal malt in the backbone. Aggressive hop presence in the mouth. Well defined apples and oranges in the nose with some malty sweetness. Very well balanced. Big bitterness in the mouth through the finish. Heavy and balanced. Malt accented, very enjoyable IIPA.
