Bottle, 15%. To be honest, I was not really looking forward to tasting this 15 per cent hand grenade. Good fruity aroma. Cloudy golden colour with small bits floating in it. Small frothy white head. The flavour is fruity with some alcohol bitterness. Hint of vanilla and fruit, but quickly burnt away by the alcohol. Fairly unpleasant bitterness from the alcohol afterall.

A cool burgie style bottle along with a bare, basic info label, a good start. Oh, a Belgian pale ale with an elevated abv, continuing the upward arc. Pulling duty is a New Belgium globe glass and shows me a semi-transparent, gold liquid with a thin cover of wholly white foam. The nose, some yellow fruit and alcohol. Ultimately now, the taste, well now, we are exploring new territory here. Bitter apricots, booze, hay, funk, citrus zest, medicine, some hops taste and bitterness and a burn on the way down. Really more of a cocktail than a pale ale. There are other beers that share the same attribute, DFH 120 Minute and Stanneman Silent Killer are the best examples. And I like them all and I like this brew. A breath of fresh air, compliments to the brewer for a stretch.

33 cl bottle from Meny poured into a Trappist glass. Hazy amber orange colour with a few white floaties on top. Sweet aroma with bitter orange, rather heavy booze, spiced alcohol dense notes, plums and red berries. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Bone dry finish which is quite remarkable given the high abv. An unusual experience.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a small, white head. Unusual spicy nose, reminding me somehow of Sake. Rich, full body, sweet maltiness, again somewhat spicy. But the booze is extremely dominant making this very hard to drink - combined with a bitter finish. Incomparable taste? Well, not so much.... 111121

Bottle. Almost clear dark orange with a rather small white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, grains, old apples, alcohol and sake. Taste follows aroma plus peaches, sugar, yeast and orange marmelade. Slightly spicy but mostly sweet. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Tastewise the alcohol is really well concealed but the balance is unfortunately a bit off. I’m not really sure what to make of it.

Have a bad experience with high alco beers... Smell-weak, acidic, some malt. Foam- thin, caramel, acidic, alcohol, weak hops, and more alcohol. Head is tiny, white in color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, the label is imaginative. Hazy orange color, no carbonation. From - snifter Taste - acidic, caramel, malt, and loads of alcohol. Do not know what I was expecting, but this is not something I will try again. Generally acidic and alcoholic, not the worst high alco beer I had, but not close to good ones also.
