We combine high-quality German malts with American Pacific Northwest hops and the unique California lager yeast to produce a bitter reddish-amber lager. Dry-hopping enhances aromas of wood and mint against the caramel flavours. It’s complex for a lager but more subtle than an ale; a delicious and unique hybrid.

Bottle from Vinomondo, Conwy. Hazy-opaque amber. Thick fluffy foamy off-white head. Aroma has herbs, malts a tangy citrus and fruit edge. Flavourwise it's like the aroma with malts and spice. Bitter woody element. Sour edge. Chewy. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Hits the spot.

Bottle online from Stori, Bala. Pours unclear deep amber with beige foam. Aroma: malts dominate, caramel, red fruits. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, toasted malts. Medium body with soft carbonation. As another correspondent notes, this was Vienna lager-ish.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - deep amber to red. Light haze. Thin head. Nose - red fruits like cherry or raspberry. Cake mixture. Taste - fruitcake and a slightly toasty edge. Palate - close to medium bodied. Crunchy texture. Toasty end. Overall - enjoyable if not what I expected. I suppose getting into the realms of Vienna Lager.

Fra cask på GBBF aug-19: nesten helt klar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. engelsk appelsinmarmelade, grapefrukt, urter og furunål. Golden ale is not my favourite style, but this one is very tasty indeed.
