Bottle pour, picked up at The Garden Path, Burlington. Perhaps my first taste of an American Ice Cider? First barrel aged Ice Cider as well? If so, it's a good start. Shiny copper pour, clean. I agree with Matt, in that it's not as dense as others in the cider substyle, but it remains an incredible cider. Drinks really nice. Perfect taste for the season.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor; corked bottle
Amber colour, bright. Lovely character of stewed apples and caramel, the aroma is intriguing, the flavour is less complex; balanced acidity; a bit short in the final; there is some astringency, and strong alcohol too.
Excellent.

Golden-amber colour. On the nose, there's a soft, sweet apple nose, with a light nutmeg sort of aroma. Very sticky, sweet, has a nice tartness that lends balance.

Bottle sample at Northeast Kingdom, pours a clear dark amber. Aroma brings out rich brandy oak notes, light acidity and some toasted treacly toffee. Flavour is intensely decadent, with loads of rich, complex apple brandy, oak, treacle toffee and caramel apple. Complex and wonderfully crafted. Lovely.

Bottle shared in Hackney - picked up in VT. Pours clear, glowing gold. Incredible aroma, lots of liquefied apples, honey, hints of honeysuckle, nips of toffee. Big sweet flavour, tons of apple pie, a bit more honeysuckle, some apricot, a little alcohol. Full bodied, oily and chewy. Warming finish, tons of gooey apples, just a hint of tartness to clean it up, more honey and mild floral notes, undertones of citrus. Simply wonderful.
