Isle of Wight Holiday Beer#92. Found in East Cowes. Golden coloured lager with a deeper tasting texture than usual, which may be the low calorie effect, although to me that's more obvious in its taste. If you can't say anything nice.....

Clear golden pour with a small (short-live) white head. Aromas of malt (maybe even cardboard), some lemon and hops. Taste is nuts, grain/bread, some lemon and apple. Slightlty bitter aftertaste. OK overall, but a bit thin.

Can at home picked up from Waitrose. A clear golden yellow coloured pour wioth a small loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty, apple esters, light tang, buttered bread, classic lager notes. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, some green apple, light asparin bite, mineral, spicy finish. Palate is semi sweeet, light tang, bite in the finish, moderate carbonation. bit of a gimmick.

Panda courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin! Gluten Free. Golden colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of cereal grain, grassy. Taste is grainy, bready, grass, with metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. OK.

Can at home, from Waitrose online, 07/12/24. Pale golden blonde with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Better start than the SIPA that gushed! Nose is pale malts, hedgerow, herb, toasted grains. Taste comprises toasted grains, cereals, faint citric nip, biscuit, straw, light bready elements. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Okay for the style.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the Little Waitrose near work. Pours clear, pale gold with a slight, creamy white head. Light sweet flavour with bland pale bread, biscuits, faint bitter straw, a little white bread crust, pale grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly clean to finish, more simple malts, crusty white bread, sweet pale grains. Little to it but it’s drinkable.

Can from Waitrose, Addlestone. Aroma is fruity. Slightly metallic. Coffee... imagined? Clear gold. Frothy foamy white head. Initial low key bitter streak, followed by sweet citrus that adds a touch of sourness. Underlying watery coffee and damp malts. Light. Thin if slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Odd tasting but somewhat dull lager.
