Bottle via Pressonline, imported by Anxo. Lots of milage just to get me my fix.
Lo-ball glass at home after a week in the fridge.
Took a nip on Friday & wasn't feeling it. Sealed it up & finally found time to settle down with the botte tonight, with a slow roast in the oven.
Clear, honey orange pour, slow & oily head that recedes a touch slower than soda.
Smell is round, like apple brandy. Bittersweet apple sauce & mushroom-y old wood. Some subtle florals as it warms, gentle kick of sour stonefruit; slight spice & pedestrian funk.
Taste is honey-laced bittersweets with an immense pithiness. Very macerated orange spice, slight cheeziness rather than full blown funk, obvious keeve sweetness, old wood, slick almost oily texture. Tiny prick of tartness before going full sweet again. A bit too sweet.
Definitely grew on me.

14/11/2024. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear golden orange with a short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma is super scrumpy cider, funky, woody, leathery, apple, caramel, baked edge. A little sweet, light tartness, super dryness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very nice.
