The premium amber lager of the family, at 5.4%, with great complexity. Bitterness and hop spice complement the honey and Dundee orange marmalade notes. The aftertaste has orange peel, toffee and a building dry spiciness. This could redefine your views on what constitutes a lager. Sparta is the beer that was the catalyst for our growth, as it was so loved by local drinkers that they backed us with the investment to expand.

Keg at LBA. It pours cloudy orange - amber with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, tangy candied orange peel, brown bread, brioche, bit of spice and fruit cake. The taste is dry, bitter, spiced, brown bread, spice, leather, tannin, toasted nut and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit drying and chewy.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours clear copper with a creamy, off-white head. Nice toasted biscuits, a few leaves. Light sweet flavour with more subtly toasted grains, a little grassy bitterness, orange peel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, more grassy notes, toasty grains. Fine stuff.

Keg at the London drinker beer fest 2018. A hazed dull amber brown coloured pour with a lasting loose beige head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty earthy malts, sweaty, grassy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, sweaty, nutty brown bread, tangy berry. Vanilla. Pretty bad.

On tap at The Lifeboat Margate. Hazy reddish amber colour lasting cream head. Sweetish nutty i mean it's pretty good. A sweetish nutty beer with some black pepper hoppy finish. Pretty decent flavours. Except its too cold and too fizzy. Toffee caramel.
