Tarka Four makes a refreshing change to its international competitors on bars across the South West and beyond.

As the name might suggest, Tarka Four is lower in alcohol than Tarka Pure, 4% compared to 4.8%. This makes it a fine ‘session’ lager designed for drinking several pints, whilst chatting with friends in the pub.

Keg draught at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester as part of their Otter Brewery takeover. Light gold and clear with a smattering of white head and lacing down the glass. Typical lager aroma, grainy, hay, maybe a hint of lemon, slightly corny. Sweet taste, a bit saccharine with some grain notes. Diet soda aftertaste. Light body, very well-carbonated. Meh.

Clear gold with a bubbly white head and, if anything can smell fizzy, then this is it! There's sweet fruit and floral bitterness on the nose too, and it drinks very fresh with grassy hop bitterness balanced out by sweet and fruity light malt
