Hazy amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and light, modest carbonation. Smooth malts, light creamy sweetness. Modest caramel and even more bashful treacle. Light finish brings a whisper of bitterness. Mildly amusing.

Keg @ Tilt. Pours a hazy deep brown, foamy pale tan head. Aroma is quite sweet, treacle, overripe dark dried fruit. Taste is smooth and sweet, reminiscent of a good Belgian dubbel, some nutty dark malts, treacle notes. Decent, flavoursome hatter.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Dark cola brown. Foamy, noisy, tan head. Lots of life to this one. Nose has vine fruit. Nutty chocolate. Woody, earthy hop. Taste is sticky sweet. Get the treacle and syrup. Enough vinous tang to just balance the sweetness. Moderate body. Way too much fizz. Short, fruity dry finish.

Keg at the Eebria taproom. Pours rich brown with a creamy, khaki head. Toasty brown bread in the nose, some toffee, grape. Medium sweet flavour with notes of brown sugar, grapes, ripe berries, creamy toffee, brown bread. Low bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with lightly tangy raisins, more grape, faint cocoa, earth, toffee. Pretty tasty beer.
