330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Stable, bubbly, tan head leaving lacing rings down the glass. Black as pitch. Good looking appearance! Nicely roasted aromas of earth and chocolate. Excellent taste of chocolate and liquorice, salty and mid-sweet. Lingering, roasted salty chocolate finish, hints of coffee as well, smoothly roasted. Fine depth. Very pleasant to drink. Fiskåbanen 130121. Black color with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, mocha, alcohol, salt, caramel. Very nice beer.

Bottle. A finger-thick light tan head forms lacings over a black body. Intense, delicious aroma with roasted malts, licorice notes, coffee, mocha, cinnamon, vague hints of smoke and brown sugar. It's full-bodied, lightly warming, sweet but not too sweet. The flavor has roasted malts, coffee, brown sugar, licorice and a hint of cinnamon and smoke. Quite a lot of mocha too, and a soft hint of licorice-ish saltyness. Lasting finish with quite a lot of bitterness. A very pleasant one indeed. 210113

Svart med brunt skum. Lukter nøtter, lakris, kaffe og lær. Fyldig. Maltig, lett bitter smak. Kaffe, kakaopulver, mørk sjokolade, brent karamell og noe animalsk mot rått kjøtt. Middels lang.

Fra kveldens siste utskjenking (0,5 flaske) på en hyggelig Mi2-kveld, Cardinal sep-20: nesten helt svart med beige skum som varer nesten til bussen skal gå. Mørke sjokolader (moccabønner, 70%-sjokolader osv), dessertkaffe, hint av røykmalt og en knivsodd (som min mormor ville sagt) salt. Mørkbrent malt + nevnte snev av røykmalt i ettersmaken.

Bottle shared. Black with brown head. Massive chocolate cake indeed! Some malts, soft dried fruits, earthy, roasted notes. Solid medium sweet and bitter, light salty. Over medium bodied. Tasty!

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.6%, IBU 50. Pitch black colour, small tan head. Aroma of roast malts and chocolate / cocoa. The flavour is not as sweet as I feared, roast malts and chocolate again, also notes of mild coffee, fairly distinct bittering hops and a hint of salt.
