Based on our multi-award winning Plum Porter, Grand Reserve is a darker, stronger special edition beer we produce in limited volumes in the winter. Its matured in our conditioning tanks for 21 days. The longer process and added strength gives this beer an even deeper, richer flavour. The perfect fireside pint on a dark, winter’s night!
A connoisseur’s version of Plum Porter. Expect the same fruity, sweet tones with a stronger, more intense, matured taste. One to savour.

On tap (cask) at the Banker's Vaults, Monday 13th October 2025 in the company of Keef Mullin his son Carl and my dad. Pours deep, dark brown chestnut maybe darker actually this is really deep brown with a lovely creamy textured off white head, this really is a looker and poured close to perfection. There is a glint of red as I lift it towards the light. Big fruitiness, clearly plum but rich and very full in the mouth, lots of malt, this is so much better than expected and yet I knew from what's Keef and Carl said it's good and in cracking form.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - deep brown with red chinks. Off white head. Nose - baked cherries, plum and going into prunes. Taste - Spangles, as Craig said. Generally a little confected sugar. Roast red fruit. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy sweet middle and finish. Overall - weird but good.

330ml bottle: BBE August 2022. poured into a Leffe chalice at home on 8th March 2022. Dark brown, red hue in the light, wispy nothingness for a head (might have been over cooled). Fruity, plum nose and taste, figs, malty and nice!
