On tap at the source. Said Amarillo Pale Ale on the board. Slightly hazy light golden color with a small but long lasting off white head. Rich bready and light cara maltiness with plenty of juicy fruity resinous pine and light citrus. Light grass medium body.

Taster pour at Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Across America/Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Aroma is pine with citrus and herbal/vegetal bordering on corn chip. Appearance is clear, light brown/dark gold, with decent sparkle and 2-finger width head and nice lacing. Taste is herbs/vegetal bordering on corn chip, citrus, and resin and pine bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft to average carbonation with pine/corn chip finish. Overall, nice hop flavors and not overly bitter.

Draught at Novare Res, 3/6/16.
Lightly to minimally hazy, straw-golden body is well-carbonated and topped by a large, well-retained white head.
Strong floral overtones coupled with zesty citrus dot the nose, while a bit of light grains sit in the background; perhaps just a touch of toasted malt character. Very spicy, citrusy and floral with no alcohol or flaws.
Soft, effusive texture shows light dextrines and plentiful dry grains, adding crispness and textural complexity. Nicely dry, with just a touch more toasted malt character than I’d prefer. Spicy and floral with strong grapefruit and lemon character, as well. Very textbook APA here and it’s nice to see not everyone is giving in to the NE IPA trend and still making good old-school pale ales.

14th August 2015
GBBF Day 4. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and semi dry, low carbonation. Light sweetish pale malts. Modest orange - lemon, mild hop spice. Light finish. Nice flavour but could do with a bit of condition.

Flavour is wheaty grains, biscuit, faint caramel, tropical, fruit, and cut grass. Palate is grainy and drying in the finish, moderate carbonation. Decent pale ale.

Draft at the source. Hazy straw color, decent head retention. Aroma starts with some light grain followed by weak fruit and a nice floral character.

Taste shows me some wheat, light pale malts, juicy fruit notes and a good dose of floral hops that give a nice from bitterness that lingers for a good second after the sip. I enjoyed the juicy hints mixed with the floral notes. I feel this was a stronger brew over the IPA I had directly after it.
