Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. I got this one way back when, maybe from Kris Wines. Pours light hazy amber with a creamy cap. Some sweet bread on the nose, pine, dried fruits. Medium sweet flavor, moderately boozy with dry bread, toffee, some dirt. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with semi-dark bread, caramel, low toasted pine bitterness. Really nice stuff.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a cloudy amber with a rough and dissipating off-white head. Greasy caramellish aroma with some plummy, overripe fruit. Rich body, caramel, crystal malts, sherryish, some phenols. Fairly bitter finish, while the alcohol is not all that present up front. Very much a British Barley Wine. 120412

Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed Saturday 22.10.11 I picked this up at Jacks, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon 2011 Heavy in the mouth, this is amber with a light beige head. Little sticky mouth, hoppy but with a touch of up front fruit. Maybe a little too harsh at the moment I suspect this would benefit from a little ageing, its good. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7
