Bottle from Beer52. Dark chestnut with a beige head. Mild but prickly fizz in a powdery mouthfeel. Tastes of chocolate-flavoured syrup, liquorice and a bit of nut. There's a slight hint of sourness. This one's not for me; I don't like liquorice or fake chocolate flavours.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a ring of beige head and a tawny gleam; caramel aroma with a touch of smoke; soft oaty body, fairly dry with some smoke at first, then chocolate and bacon to follow; before a lingering chocolatey finish. A pleasant Schwarzbier.

Tight tan head left a creamy cover on a near black still body. Malt, tobacco & coal aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a tingle on the back. Sweet, chocolate, malt, nutty & burnt rates with a lightly hopped fruity finish. Good one

Fifth and final beer in my mini tasting session with myself on 4th Dec 2020. 330ml bottle (as Gościszewo Komtur) from Beer52; BB 11th Nov 2021. Purple hue to the ruby/brown body, wispy off-white head. Malty molasses in the nose and taste, caramel and weak coffee being the main esters and flavours. Nice finish to my evening.

Bottle from Beer 52. – as Gosciszewo Komtur Pours a very dark maroon. It was almost impossible to produce a head, but the brief colouring was beige. Has an aroma of bread and liquorice mixed with alcohol. In the mouth it is mainly coffee and dark chocolate, but with some sweet malts and dark fruits underneath. Finish is mainly bitter with coffee grounds. In short, appearance pretty naff – taste excellent !

500ml bottle, many thanks to djoeye for sharing. Stable fawn-coloured head, deep ruby-rustic body, clingy lacing. Lightly roasted malty aromas, doughy. Decent flavour character of black chocolate and dark bread, ashy. Fine roasted malty finish. Medium bodied. Pretty alright. (PivotekaH7 Tromsø 15.10.2020).
