125ml draught, 5 % abv, flight at Brovarnia Gdańsk. Almost black in the glass, topped by a low off-white head, rings of lace down the glass. Roasted malty aromas, mid-sweet. Bite of dark bread to the taste profile, hints of toffee to it. Roasted ending, mid-sweet. Medium bodied. Quite alright. (Gdansk 21.10.2024).

Svart. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Smaken røkte pølser. Smaken likeså. Litt salami etter hvert. Tørr avslutng. Nesten ikke bitterhet.

ABV: 5.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, sweet malt, dark malt, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, dark malt, brown sugar, sweet malt, sweet dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190425]

Draught at the brewpub. Dark amber colour with a thin, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts and toasted notes. Fruits. Taste is sweet. Short sweet finish. I was bored.

On tap. Black colour, frothy head that stays for a while. Aroma is much roasted malt and nuts, also some dark chocolate and grassy hops, a bit of ash and liquorice. Light bitterness. Light body. Good.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy dark copper brown with small tan head. Mild aroma of malt and caramel, with some estery touches. Bitterish, roasty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and touches of yeast. Estery aftertaste with roasty hints. Average. Not very clean - some off-ish notes prevail well into the aftertaste.

1 l bottle. Unclear reddish amber body with a light, lacing off-white head. Aroma of mild, dark malt, bread, caramel and a hint of bacon. Flavor is mild, roasted malt, caramel, some liquorice, hint of ripe banana, slightly acidic and moderate bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. Fair enough.

Impressive 1000cl bottle bought as take out at the brewpub and brought back to share in UK. Pours a hazy dark brown with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of coffee, caramel, malt and prune. Medium sweetness with light sourness. Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Medium carbonation. Slightly underwhelmed and would have liked to have tried this at the venue during my evening tour of Gdansk but the venue was packed. Next time...
