Can at home from Thornbridge online, 07/02/24. Clear golden blonde with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is hedgerow, grass, grains, herb, dusty hops, modest citric zest. Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, citric tinged straw, lemon nip, pale and bready malts, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with earthy come leafy hop bitterness. No great ... mediocre for this series. Smells a little twiggy and disengaged from the whole hop concept ... taste is better, pleasant enough but fairly middle of the road. A let down from Thornbridge on the hop front.

Can. Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry. Starts fairly smooth and then decent fine minerally carbonation comes foward on the back end. Light smooth pale malts, a modest creamy sweetness. Chinook hops bring there crisp citric peel and crisp pine. Touch of soft grapefruit. A very mild hop spice on the crisp finish. Tidy. I don't think this recent batch of Quiet Storms have been as good as earlier batches. Seems like someone cut back on the hop bill to me. Still a decent pale.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Thornbridge online. Pours clear gold with a fluffy, pure white head. Lightly sweet flavour with lovely grassy hops, crisp pale grains, earth, dirty hay, dried citrus rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Balanced finish, more husky grains, citrus rind, grass. I love it. Nice lingering bitterness.

Can picked up at Thornbridge. Clear straw gold. Seems paler than other Quiet Storms. Thick froth of white. Some spicy peppery notes. Fresh sappy pine. Malts come across muted or perhaps a bit dull. Kind of smells a little old although it’s just been packaged. Taste fares better feeling crisp and bitter with a well balanced malt sweetness. Easy drinking affair overall with a lingering bitterness. Just not up there in others in the series.
