Copper colour with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of dark sugar, dried figs and dates, and mild spice. Sweetish malty flavour with a lot of dark sugar and molasses, lots of dried fruit and a touch of spice. Nice and clean, while being complex enough. Solid.

75 cl bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Dark amber colour with a thin lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, syrup, fruits, hints of booze and toasted notes. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body. Slightly drying fruity finish with caramel malts and fruits. Easy going and clean. Fine.

Bottle sourced from Meny Valby and shared at home (02/01/2021) - dark amber brown with a big beige head. Toasted and sweet malty with lots of caramel sweetness, dark dried fruit accents, brown sugar, light nutty, medium body, touch of spice into the sweet malty finish. Ok.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear amber with a lively, off-white head. Sweet caramel and toffee notes, hardly any Belgian yeast notes. Medium body, caramel, nuts, rock candy perfectly balanced by subtle but sufficient bittering hops. Again surprisingly little Belgian yeast notes. Smooth and easygoing and as usual from Jacobsen lacking personality an ooompff! 261220
