Øllet er opkaldt efter dværgen Galar fra de nordiske sager. Sammen med sin bror, Fjalar slog han guden Kvaser ihjel og brugte hans blod sammen med honning til at lave den magiske mjød; Skjaldemjøden

Alfheim Galar. 0.33l bottle from Netto Taarnby. Misty dark amber body. Soft citric-fruity aroma. Lean, light soft dryish citric-malty taste, I mean, for a cheapish supermarket beer, I've had far worse.

330 ml bottle, as Frejdahl Alfheim Galar, from Føtex Ebeltoft. ABV is 4.8%. Deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Aroma of ripe dark berries, malts and a hint of caramel. Smooth and pleasant to drink, malty with the same elements as the aroma. Low bitterness.

Nice clear deep golden in the glass with a fine thick off white head The head last very good. Also a fine lacing Unusual mild aroma Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness Ok carbonation level Quite malty flavor. Together with some bready, mild fruity and herbal notes A bit dull and boring this one [Bottle from Mjorud]
