This pale and refreshing lager is a delightful play on Heater Allen’s recipe for a German-style Pilsner, using Willamette Hops for flavor and aroma. One of the original hops developed by Oregon State University and at one point the most wildly grown hop in Oregon, using Willamette Hops pays homage to the fruitfulness of the Willamette Valley in harvest season. A collaboration between Heater Allen and Visit McMinnville to showcase our part of Oregon to the masses.

Aromas are grassy, malty, leather and black pepper. Flavors are similar to nose and just slightly on the sweet side with okay carbonation and a slightly bitter finish. Nice beer.

This has a gold colour, not much head. Saazy, medium bitterness, a bit of sweetness. Good balance. Good grassy hop note, too.
