This barrel variant of Black Tuesday was aged in premium Rye barrels for 24 months, never seeing time in bourbon barrels. Enjoy familiar notes of dark fruit, vanilla, and wood, elevated further with hints of spice and pepper character unique to the Rye barrels. Often blended in as a key piece of past projects, we’re excited to let Rye barrel-aged Black Tuesday shine on its own for the first time. Pour a glass for you and one for a friend, pair with dark chocolates, and enjoy.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. An almost black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Rich, sweet, boozy, whiskey, malty, chocolate, caramel, rye aroma and taste. A big beer which doesn't taste like 20.2% at all. Shame this particular Brewdog bar is closing, never seemed busy since Covid. Good memories though.
Intense dark malty with lots of chocolate and caramel and fudge sweetness, lovely rye whisky soaked wooden accents coming through, full body, light spice into the warming malty boosty finish. Proper winter warmer at 20%, lovely.

Panda huge thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark brown beer, small bubbly tan colour head. Nose is a heady whiskey and dark malts. Smooth palate, a mild viscosity, reasonable fine carbonation which is absolutely fine for this monster. Smooth dark chocolate malts, a little dark chocolate biscuit. Unsurprisingly forward whiskey, spicy and full of ripe fruits, softened a little by some barrel induced vanilla. Modest coffee on the warming and spicy finish. Great fun!

Keg at BrewDoge Tower Hill, 29/11/24. Black with a khaki head that soon dissipates. Nose is rich chocolate, molasses, hefty barrel presence, dark malts, spice, plummy notes, sweet edges. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, rye barrel blast, spice, molasses, chocolate melt. Full bodied and some, light cloying feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid sipper ... never silly hot or too chewy ... well balanced for 20%+!
20.2% ABV? Woo! Chocolate, vanilla, coconut, boozy, bourbon. Intense stuff, drink with caution! Cheers!

Keg at BD Tower Hill. Aroma is full on rye - like being punched in the face by a rye leaf. Sweet boozy edge. Dark and glossy. No head. Sweet and boozy. Dark Christmas fruits. Overhead we have a rye spice. Thick. Oily. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Yummer.
Beautiful rye spice. Tons from the barrel. Lovely.
