Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost no head. Intense woody-malty aroma. Starts strong, malty-roasty, woody, heavy earthy notes. Some berries, some coffee, some wood. Finish warming-malty. Dry-bitter background. Good one!

A clear reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of raisins, caramel, mild oxidized fruits. Taste of raisins, dark malt, caramel, berries.

Bottle drunk re-watching Stranger Things 3 to prepare for the final season. Medium brown, small head that returns when swirling. Bananas, bready yeast, caramel biscuit nose. Very smooth rich flavor. Not too alcoholic hot, not too sweet, nice hop balance. That's an excellent barrel aging right there!

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, light cognac at first, heavier thereafter, dark raisins. Quite nice.

Fles gedeeld door met Mimi, Roel, Rik, Tessa en Guus. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en cognac. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet met tonen van cognac.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 16 Feb 2024) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, vinous nose with notes of caramel, oak wood, cognac and raisins. Malty, vinous taste with caramel, dried fruit, raisins, prunes, oak wood, cognac and a mild spicy bitterness in a warming, boozy finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, warming and tasty. Very nice.

Draft at Taphorst. Color: Dark brown, beige head. Aroma: Raisins, Cognac. Taste: Cognac, raisins, white grape, some caramel. Over moderate sweet, light bitterness. Over medium body. Below average carbonation. Ok.
