Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, a little creamy sweetness is out muscled by a fairly bitter liquorice streak. Modest fruits underneath. Finishes with a trace of coffee and more bitterness. A little on the harsh side and a little simple but reasonably drinkable. Mild spicy linger.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Nearly black. Slick, dense, sticky, lasting, tan head. Looks boss. Nose has cold coffee. Blackcurrant. Wet leather. Dark chocolate. A little ashy and woody. Taste starts off fruity and sweet, with plenty of woody, ashy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Rich, but not sticky. Fine carbonation. Finishes fruity, woody and a little dry. Really good, not too sticky, impy stout.

Bradford Beer Festival 2017. Fuller-Bodied stout, its strength is evident and this lingers in its aftertaste alongside some very washy roasted malts.
