Creamy tan head on a near black coloured body.
Espresso & malt aroma.
Medium to full bodied, smooth with a lightly carbonated back.
Coffee, blueberry, malt, oat & lactose tastes with a tangy finish.
Lovely sipper

Bottle. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, toasted malts, mild roast, coconut and some fudgelike sweetness to it. Flavour pretty much has the same elements as the aroma, but there's also a slight sweetness from the alcohol showing. Actually a nice one.

Black, light tan froth. Rich malty aroma, roasted malt, coffee, coconut and brown sugar. Sweet flavour, medium heavy dark malt, caramel, choc and a hint of coconut. Creamy, oily malty sweet finish. Good.

Poured from 440mL can (bb 10/21/2021). Near black with small tan head. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, touch of coconut all come through. Rich and lightly sweet. Quite good, but could be slightly more cohesive.

440mL can, pours black with a small tan bead. Nose is loaded with dark chocolate and coffee upfront, with plenty of sweet caramel and a hint of coconut. Flavour is rich and sweet, with loads of dark chocolate upfront, accentuated by caramel and coconut. Sweet but not cloying, with all sorts of different layers. Excellent.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
The colour is near black, large tan head. Cacao, sweet chocoolate, some roasted coconut, nuts, lactose; sweet but not full bodied; similar to a coconut/chocolate bar; the alcohol is not too prominent.
Without finesse, but very pleasant.

Can. Very dark brown body with a bubbly head. The nose highlights chocolate, coconut and coffee. But it's not a big or enticing aroma especially. On the palate, it shines, however, full bodied, slight acidity and fruitiness in the finish, to cut through the rich coffee and subtle coconut accents. Tasty stuff.

440ml during the bbq on the Big Beach in Ucluelet. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: a bit of sweetness and coffee, very light coconut, some roasty character. Taste: quite rich, nicely integrated coffee, moderately sweet, good budy, didn't find coconut. Overall: good European style Imperial Stout, that I would describe as an imperial porter based on the North American standards (and it's actuallu based on the Varvar Mavka that is a porter).

Smooth and thick. Nice roast. Can’t get the coconut. Bit of spice there too.
