Our single hop series has produced some of our favourite beers we’ve brewed so far and we're now back to New Zealand again with some super fresh CY23 Nectaron.

This is the first time we've used this hop variety, so we wanted to showcase it solo to really shine the spotlight on it. Wonderfully hazy, and soft in mouthfeel with plenty of wheat and oats, this is a vibrant IPA that sings with fruit flavour and aroma.

Expect huge pineapple notes, with subtle zingy passionfruit undertones and all balanced by a trademark NZ dankness.

Nice haze, a little dank. Goes down easy. And in the shadow of Windsor Castle!

440ml can. Murky golden, white head. Aroma of peaches and dank weed. Taste is peaches and weed, actually more dank than it is fruity which surprised me as like madmitch pointed out it's not something I've ever got from this hop before, some zesty citrus and grapefruit in there too, spicy hop finish.

Can. Very hazy yellowish gold bee, good but fairly short lived pale cream colour head. Fluffy palate, decent fine carbonation. Airy pale malts, a fluffy creamy sweetness. Fair bit of skunk here, not something I've encountered with Nectaron before. Plenty of Nectaron goodness coming in after the skunk. Floral peachy tropical fruits with a little zingy citrus on the back end that develops mild sherbet. Mild hop spice on the back end along with a little pine. Hmm. First few mouthfuls, I thought this was going to be too skunky for a Nectaron solo, but it opens out into a hoppy delight.

Can from BillyT. It pours cloudy yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, weed, dank, apricot, nectarine, mango salsa, orange peel and orange jelly. The taste is slick, oily, juicy, bright, orange peel, tangerine, apricot, peach, mango salsa, floury, damp green vibes, flinty, gummy bears and warming alcohol with a drying finish. Average carbonation and moderate carbonation. Tasty and flavourable.
