Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque, pitch black with a creamy and lacing light brown head - a very good looking beer. Nose is mainly ashy coffee = espresso. No real booziness. Rich, sweet, malty body. Kinda smooth and vanillaish with some roastiness building up. But fairly easy drinking. The coffee however borders being ashy throughout. Absolutely no traces of the promised Bourbon. And IF these guys wanted to do a Bourbon Coffee Stout, then why on earth not do it properly by barrel-aging it on a real Bourbon barrel. This is kinda cheap - especially considering the great looking waxed package. The beer simply doesn't deliver the class that the bottle suggests. 221118

Black with small light tan head. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Chocolate notes too. Chocolate, coffee and roast flavour, nice hoppy bitterness. Just a hint of bourbon, some warmth in the finish and later a mild alc burn.
