Bottle 0.75l, trade with Camons, thanks a lot! Three years aged. Cloudy, very dark red colored. AROMA- roasted malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, raisins, prunes. FLAVOR- neutral to dry, lightly bitter, warming, roasted, dark chocolate, bourbon, odd buttery flavor. Fuller bodied. Good.

Bottle christmas gift from JT nice looking waxed dark brown bottle with black label stating imperial espresso bourbon stout in italics. Quite stylish and signals a serious imperial stout. The bottle does not hint how the bourbon got in there, but if it was barrel aged i would've guessed they would have used that too in the marketing. dark brown, smooth small brown head. Aroma is quite hoppy, dark roasted malts, hoppy dry imperial stoutish, not much bourbon in the nose, not sweet. Flavor is really good, dry crisp roasted malts, lots of hops, coffee bitterness, faint boozy note that might be bourbon. almost tastes like the bourbon was just added, but my guess is soaked wood chips or something. In fact i do get a bitter woody sort of note that might be from espresso but could also be from oak chips. there is a little bit of a hint of burnt plastic, could be from wood or just bc the hops and coffee and alc. bitterness sort of intensifies each other. This is a fairly decent black power-beer, and a very decent macro brewery venture into the big bold black beer styles.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice and toffee. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long roasted malt, coffee and licorice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with large brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, soy sauce, espresso, vanilla and oak. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter and faint salty. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and bitter with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, prunes and salty liquorice.

Flavor is sweet and rather bitter, roast malty, caramel, heavy coffee, dark chocolate, light licorice, alcohol.
