16oz can. Classic US Amber Ale. Not that removed from an Irish Red. Pleasant malt depth. Sessionable but not thin. Good.

Glass, 4-ounce, draught, on the premise, trip to Dark Lord Day with Philippe Boutin, Luc Bourbonnière and Ian Guénard, savoured on April 29 2016; eye: coppery, clear, no effervescence, ring of tan head, light lacing; nose: malt, slight hops, light spices, caramel; mouth: malt, slight hops, light spices, caramel, finale in malt with light presence of spices, medium body, average carbonation, lightly sweet, thin; overall: ordinary FRANÇAIS Verre, 4 onces, en fût, bue sur place, voyage pour Dark Lord Day avec Philippe Boutin, Luc Bourbonnière et Ian Guénard, savourée le 29 avril 2016; œil : cuivrée, limpide, pas d’effervescence, anneau de mousse fauve, légère dentelle; nez : malt, très léger houblon, léger épices, caramel; bouche : malt, très léger houblon, léger épices, caramel, finale en malt avec légère présence d’épices, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, légèrement sucrée, mince; en résumé : ordinaire

Draft: Poured an amber color ale with a nice foamy head. Aroma of light caramel malt notes is OK. Taste is a mix of caramel malt with light dry cereal notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. OK but missing some character.

A golden ale with no head. In aroma, caramel malt with light solvent notes, OK. In mouth, a nice nutty caramel malt with light fruity esters, light fusel notes, so-so. On tap at brewery.

Guest beer at Lagunitas Beer Circus. Mild malt smell with a big nose of banana. That could happen if the keg had been in a warm clime for a couple of hours, like it was here, even under a tent. Standard amber body under some head of fizz, seems ideal enough to say it’s perfect looking. Malty upfront taste that is fine as it is, a great lawnmower beer with just a little extra oomph.
