For the first release with newest Patron Tula Lotay, we’ve designed an IPA to be as super approachable and smashable as possible and full of summer flavour.
El Dorado hops bring ripe tangerine with Idaho 7 adding a hit of tropical fruit bowl. These were then backed up with additions on the brewday of Ella and Talus hops which between them add grapefruit, lemon peel and a dash of pepper, with a slight dankness.
All contained in a juicy, golden straw and hazy IPA.
Tula Lotay is the pen name of illustrator Lisa Wood. Born and raised in Yorkshire, Tula specialises in comics, film and editorial illustration, as well as being the founder of the world-renowned Thought Bubble Festival.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a very mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy light pale malts, a fairly forward creamy sweetness. Light cooling pine into a decent hop fruity array. Talus peachy citrus up front, broad spectrum Idaho 7 fruitiness. Mild El Dorado Sakura. Light crisp pine on the finish. Nice IPA. Goes down very quickly.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 04/01/25.
Murky orange topped with an off white covering that thins to a swirl.
Nose is raw pineapple, grass, mandarin, papaya, melon.
Taste comprises bitter orange, grapefruit, mandarin, passionfruit, grass.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spattered with mellow hop bitterness.
Tidy enough IPA if not one I'd revisit.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refectory, Manchester. Hazy pale golden with a head. Sugary-fruity tropical flavoured brew, with a good strength but a softer tasting texture to proceedings.
