Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 04/08/24. Murky orange with a just off white head that stays for the show. Nose is orange zest, grapefruit, light hop spice, grass, pine needle, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, mango pulp, grapefruit, mixed tropicana, mango, soft malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness. Tidy DIPA.

473ml can. Murky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, wheaty and oaty malty as well as citrusy and tropical fruity, minimally zesty, hoppy aroma, rather homogeneous fruitiness with aspects of mango, lemon and orange, some dankness, some grapefruit rind. Taste sweet-ish, wheaty and oaty malty, citrusy fruity and slightly tropical fruity hoppy, notes of mango, lemon, orange, mandarine, zesty hints of orange peel and grapefruit rind. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Intense, flawless, but finally not outstanding, not original, not inventive among the numerous very good Imperial NEIPAs available today - high level standard in a way.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly viscous, good superfine carbonation. Soft creamy malts, nice. Hop spice starts to nibble early on and keeps going, doesn't quite burn but certainly bites. Smooth citrus, fairly bright and definitely juicy. Mandarin, tangerine, mango lead the rich hop fruity charge. A very light savoury hop before the light finish leaves the hop spice nibbling away. Well, this doesn't suck does it?

473ml can. Opaque yellow gold, small white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, stone fruits. Taste of sweet juicy pineapple, grapefruit, some stone fruit, mango, subtle Nelson vinous notes, nice piney and citrus hop bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth. That's a great DIPA, actually some bitterness, feels well balanced.
