Draught pint at the Ivy House. Lightly hazy golden, very thin head of bubbles. Nose is sharp brambly hops on a honey malt undertone. Light-medium sweetness, medium bramble hop bitterness that spreads beautifully over the palate. Light-medium body, lively carbonation. An absolute beaut of the genre.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear golden yellow pour with a bubbly white head, aroma has lemon and straw, taste has some grassy action, lime, citrus, quite bitter for the style, but pleasant enough

On tap at Kernel Spa Road. Haze gold lasting white head. Cereal aroma. It's ok if more cereal in mouth some hops on the end. Noble hop style. Having come straight from Franconia it's hard to judge. A bit too hoppy and bitter maybe. It's interesting and got a lot of the right characteristics, but maybe the hops are too overdone. Decent though.

Crisp bitter hoppy with some biscuity malts, light citrusy lemon edge, yeast, straw, lightly floral and grassy hoppy into the finish.

Tap. Spa Road. Bready fresh and clean. Nicely light bitterness. Didn’t last long enough for thorough examination.

Quite grainy. It’s pleasant though. But maybe a little bit too much on the grainy sweetness.

Bottle from Beer Cave. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of fresh lemon, light malt and a flinty mineral note. Taste is crisp and clean. Solid stuff.
