Can picked up from Kihoskh and drunk at home 30/07/2024 Sweet and roasted dark malty with notes of chocolate, tonka, coffee roast, great nitro mouthfeel and body for AF, coffee, chocolate and vanilla into the lingering malty finish. Top drawer AF number, and yet another example that AF beer has evolved so much recently.

440ml can. Pours jet black with big creamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, tonka, chocolate. Taste is very rich, coffee is the dominant flavour but it doesn't overpower, still get loads of tonka, chocolate, vanilla, roast malts, liquorice, there's a definite sweetness throughout but it finishes with a pleasant bitterness. Nitro helping that super smooth body, creamy but very light. Outstanding depth of flavour for an AF stout, admittedly helped by all the adjuncts but that is one seriously tasty and well balanced beer. Easily one of the greatest AF stouts I've had.

440ml can as part of a delivery from Siren and drunk at home. Dark brown and slightly translucent with a small khaki head. Tonka bean coming through strongly in the aroma, with touches of chocolate and strangely, violet. Taste is chock full of tonka, coffee and vanilla with fairly pronounced bitterness in the finish. Light body, medium carbonation. Balance wasn’t great in first couple of sips but I stayed with it & grew to enjoy it.
