A lightly hopped dark red, fruity beer. Powerful sweet cherry taste cutting through, some call it a luscious liquid cherry Bakewell!

Cask-conditioned at the Hop Bunker, Cardiff 8/2/2018. Dark brown, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Black cherry character dominated upfront, with a hint of coconut, followed by some toasty malts and touch of chocolate, with the cherries returning in the finish. Fine.

Cask at the standing order. Pours clear reddish brown, nose is cherry, toffee, taste is sweet cherry, dry toffee, little artifical.

Cask at Ealing Beer Festival 2017, Ealing, London. A dark ruby brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sour cherry aroma. Tastes slightly sour, cherry, reminded me of cough sweets, it is alright though.

Bottle from that garden centre neat Preston. Appearance - close to opaque black but with somered chinks. Nice fawn head. Nose - big cherry lozenge note. Taste - molasses and more cherry lozenge. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy yet sweet middle section that continues through the finish. Overall - I’d imagine this could be tedious if you didn’t like cherry lozenge but I do like cherry lozenge so that redeems it somewhat.

Cask at the Goose, Bracknell. Copper with a tight cream head; sour cherry aroma; soft in the mouth with a cherry taste and malty body; then a touch of spice leading to a fruity cherry finish. Not too sweet overall, and rather good (if you like cherries).

Cask gravity at Kent & East Sussex Railway BF 2016. Dark brown red mahogany colour lasting beige head. Cherry chocolate aroma. Bit thin in the mouth. Some dark cherry flavour. Hmm. Not sweet but the fruit is a little artificial maybe not totally integrated. Not great.

Cask at the Cambridge Blue. Reddish brown, clear, really flat. Cherry aroma with a hint of chocolate malt. A little bit of plastic. Sweet taste with a surprisingly astringent artificial finish. Watery body. Meh.
