A lightly hopped dark red, fruity beer. Powerful sweet cherry taste cutting through, some call it a luscious liquid cherry Bakewell!

Cask at the Claret. It pours clear deep brown with a small, bubbly beige head. The nose is soft, sweet cherry, perfumed, cherry drops, slightly artificial and tangy boiled sweets. The taste is bitter, earthy, mild astringency, cherry skin, cherry drops, woody, light spice, slightly medicinal notes. Finish is earthy and dry. Medium body and soft carbonation. Quite a disconnect between aroma and taste. The former sweet, the latter bitter. Better than expected, but not overly drinkable.

Rich and intense cherry in-mouth with soft citric note and Roastiness. Delicious, juicy cherry fruits in finish. Velvety yet engaging texture, and full body.
